I bought a pair for my wife and I did try them at the Apple Store. At first I was not impressed with the fit, but the Apple guy then put on the little wings and that worked better. I am not used to or a big fan of earbuds which you have to push deeply into your ear but that is how these work and if they are properly in I thought they sounded quite good and I had not complaint about the base. I do, however, understand that traditionally Beats headsets were very heavy on the base and these are not so I'm sure it's a matter of personal preference.
