You do not need to activate the phone to use it as an IPod. The activation
is only for the phone service. You just need to sign in with your Apple ID
so you can use or buy apps. You can do IMessaging to others with I devices
whenever you are connected to the internet.

Hello list,
I have Iphone 4 which stil has pretty decent battery, so I would like to use
it as Ipod.
I don't have a sim card for activating the phone and I haven't found any
other option to activate it.
I tried Itunes, but it keeps saying I need a valid Sim card.
Please, is there a way how to activate Iphone without a sim card?
I don't want to use it for phone calls, I have Iphone 6 for that.
