I sure do remember said Mad Cow Disease! I was actually living and working in England at that time. I as an America and in love with anything that would contain said Mad Cow, was terrified to anything resembling beef! It broke my heart to say no to hamburgers. Not that the British make anything resembling a good old fashioned burger back in the states.
Burger Kings in the UK even had a veg whopper and they were the first to introduce the chicken whopper, which was actually pretty tasty! I'm talking way back in, I think it was 02.
