They probably should update the app. But, double tap on Scores at the bottom of the screen. Then, in the upper righthand corner, double tap on Game Day Audio. Then, double tap on the game he wants to hear. He will likely be able to choose between the home and away team broadcast at that point.
I think you can get to the game day audio off the main screen as well, but I like to check what games are available and what the scores are of any games that have concluded, so I always go through the Scores tab.
