Hi Mike, Here's to good friends and new phones -- and the Apple Store!
If you hung onto yo0ur old phone -- I hope you did -- do try the bag
full of rice trick. I spilled coffee onto an IPhone a couple years
ago. I called AppleCare and their suggestion was the bag full of rice
for a day or two, and it worked quite well. (It would not have worked
had I been a coffee with cream and sugar person, so I'm glad I like my
coffee black!) So, if you still have your original water-logged phone,
try dropping it in the middle of a bag of rice and leaving it there
for a couple of days. Even though you don't need a phonek, you can use
the older phone as a music player or as a book-reading device with the
BARD or another app.
