Hi Mike, Here's to good friends and new phones -- and the Apple Store! If you hung onto yo0ur old phone -- I hope you did -- do try the bag full of rice trick. I spilled coffee onto an IPhone a couple years ago. I called AppleCare and their suggestion was the bag full of rice for a day or two, and it worked quite well. (It would not have worked had I been a coffee with cream and sugar person, so I'm glad I like my coffee black!) So, if you still have your original water-logged phone, try dropping it in the middle of a bag of rice and leaving it there for a couple of days. Even though you don't need a phonek, you can use the older phone as a music player or as a book-reading device with the BARD or another app.
Have fun at your convention!
