Hi Alan, no. I had not tried turning voiceover on and off independent of restarting the phone. I just did it with your message, since it started reading with the Russian voice rather than English. And shutting off voiceover and then turning it back on had no effect on your message. It only does the Russian voice when I actually open the message. If I'm reading with the preview pane, it's great. It's opening the message that causes the problem. Very bizarre. It's entirely possible that if I turn the phone off and back on, your message will read it just fine. That happened to me with another message. It's really stupid and I don't know what to tell Apple who say they can't reproduce it. Mary
