try running your battery totally flat, and once it is flat, leave it, for a
good few hours, or even over night, then charge it back up again, untill it
says on AC power, not when it just says 100 percent.
when the phone says, on AC power, then do a reset, by holding the power and
home buttons down together, for about 10 seconds.
try not to use the phone, or iPad, wile doing the charging process.
Then run the Device totally flat again.
You may have to repete, these steps more than once.

my battery can be at 50%, I plug it in and it jumps up to 80% immediately. I
