I recall reading that Cricket was adding the iPhone to their line of phones back in June or July. Cricket doesn't require a contract and you can pay month to month. I remember reading of another provider that didn't sign you to a contract too, but can't recall the exact name. I think it was something like Virgin Mobile or perhaps Virgin America. Look in the tech news articles from mid June to mid July, since I remember seeing it on several sites.
