I use the T-Mobile network through a prepaid reseller. Every cell phone carrier has places of great coverage and places where coverage is lousy. The only way to know is to look at a coverage map for the places of interest to you. Ask a sighted friend or call T-Mobile or visit a T-Mobile store for help reviewing the coverage map for the places in which you are interested. In the past, the company only had coverage at the higher end of the cell phone spectrum. These frequencies did not travel long distances and their signals had trouble penetrating buildings. T-Mobile has acquired lower frequency spectrum in many places, which is why it is important to check coverage maps. Now the coverage in many places is quite reasonable. I am in Chicago with great coverage, which should be expected in a metro region of 10 million people. Most people live in and around major cities, and blind people are not known to drive around in cars long distances needing a cell phone connection every minute during their trip.
