I've written him my concerns and never gotten a response.
The app hasn't been updated in ages.
At least once a day DownCast crashes on my iPhone 7.

crashing a lot. I contacted the developer and he said that I probably
had too many items downloaded in my feeds and he was right as I had
literally hundreds. I did a clear-out and now it’s fine and dandy.
Also running the betas will make it unstable too (along with a lot of
other apps in my experience).
I love Downcast so much that I’d even recommend deleting it altogether
and reinstalling if it would sort it out rather than moving to
something else. You can export or sync your feeds so you won’t have to
enter them all again manually.
