This problem, with my iPhone 7 plus, is driving me to obsession and distraction. When dictating in Notes, Mail, an app called Threema, or any time there is a text field, dictation is always close to 100% accurate. But in messages, this is not the case, often, there are tons of dictation errors which are a pain to edit and fix. I have tried: Toggling off and then back on dictation. Toggling off and then back on Siri. Reset Netwowrk settings Hard reset with Power button and volume down button. We have an iPhone 6 plus in the house, and these dictation errors do not occur using that phone. The inaccuracies do not happen every time, but when they do, which is quite often, the dictation results are a complete mess. When using Siri to send a message, inaccurate dictation does not occur, but this is not my preferred method for dealing with messages.
Before I try Erasing all content and settings, and just setting up the phone again, I am desperately seeking ideas, as I use this feature a lot.
