Yes, it looks like the problem is related to the Siri male voice.

Yep when I was using the Siri male and af the reset the Samantha voice came back on and I had to redownload Siri male. After the second crash, I decided not to use the Siri male again at least till the next release. Ihave had to do a hard reset twice on my 7 plus today using IOS 11. I had been using the new Siri male voice. I also use a Refreshabraille display and twice today my phone decides to crash requiring a hard reset. Voice Over is lost and the only thing that comes up on the display is messagesand there’s no moving around as voice over is lost. Can’t even do a ?ree fingle double tap to turn on the speech so I reset. After I do and the phone reboots, Samantha comes on but the Siri male voice is selected. Soafter this happened for the second time today I decided to go back to Tom. Hopefully this doesn’t happen with any of the other voices.
