Yes, unless you take a picture of yourself to train Seeing AI to recognize you. In that case you can switch to the front camera for taking the picture, but the actual person recognition is via the back camera which is why screen brightness or screen curtain make absolutely no difference. I just tried it with screen curtain on and it works fine and the brightness level has no influence either.

Apparently screen brightness does interfere with that one. I, like others, assumed you were using the back camera for something like short text, etc. Richard (Sent from the iPod Touch 6) On Oct 1, 2017, at 9:22 AM, Kelby Carlson <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: I tried the "person" setting. I tried it with the brightness set to 0, then 100 as well as then turning on the screen curtain. I got pretty much the same results in all cases. I tried to keep my hand in the same position, but it is impossible to be absolutely exact which I think accounted for some slight variation. The screen brightness should not effect any camera based app since you are not doing anything to cover the camera. I like to keep mine at 0, but I've noticed the camera seems to work much better when I turn it up high. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
