Hi Pablo,

I think it would help if you described what the challenges are you experience
with the Uber app on Android.
I am currently in Calgary and only get to use Uber here since in the small town
where I live there is no Uber and probably there won’t be 10 years from now,
likewise Vancouver still does not have Ueber and while our new provincial
government promised during the election they would get Uber to Vancouver by the
fall (now) they have recently gone back on that promise… what a surprise,
governments never do that, right?
Anyhow, I have no issues with how I use the Uber app on iOS, I just type in the
address or the place where I want to go, look at the cost and if I like it I
order the car and pay with Apple Pay.
Since I don’t live here and usually order a car when I’m at this huge tower
that is part of the very large Foothills Medical Centre or I’m maybe at a mall,
I always simply contact the driver after I order the car (I prefer to call
instead of sending a text) and tell him exactly where to find me and that he
needs to look for and identify himself to a guy with a yellow lab guide dog
since I won’t be able to see him arrive.
This always works great.

I also recently used Uber Eats just because I wanted to try it out. At first I
had some problems selecting two side dishes which were included, they were also
all listed with costs and while Voiceover said “selected” when I double tapped
“fries” and the other one I chose, I thought maybe I had to also tap the one
with the cost. This was sort of my fault since I then realized I ordered fries
which were included with the meal as well as a second order of fries for $3. My
wife removed this since at first I couldn’t figure out how to remove something
from the cart during checkout, but I think I have since noticed I can simply
use the action rotor for this.
Unfortunately the restaurant I chose, a mexican place, was a bit far away and
while it said the food would arrive in 30 to 40 minutes it took just under an
hour (the estimated time of arrival at first showed as 6:57 PM, then changed to
a bit earlier and then it changed to 7:06, 7:12, 7:20 and finally he arrived at
7:27, just about an entire hour after I placed the order). By that time the
fries were a limp, soggy mess and the berito which was not listed as being
spicy was so hot that my wife couldn’t eat it. Now that I know how this works I
might try it again and choose a restaurant nearer to where I am which shows a
shorter delivery time and maybe pick something which doesn’t include fries.
Let’s say my first experience certainly wasn’t positive both in terms of the
food (not the fault of the service) but also not in terms of the delivery time.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Accessibility of Uber app

Good morning all,
I am comparing the functionality of the Uber app on android vs IOs. However I
would like to know what are your good and bad experiences using the Uber app
on IOs?
I have a pixel, and I have found some problems. However I would like to see if
the problems are the same, or how is the IOs picture regarding the
accessibility on the Uber app.
Thanks for all,
