List, this is a very basic question. But is a problem that I have had for the last few years answering a phone call on my IPhone 5S, running the then latest IOS, currently 11.1.
Any pointers will be appreciated, so here is my problem: I usually receive a phone call with the screen locked and I have my phone set up with no log in, either passcode or finger I.D. When I hear voice over say swipe to open, I know I can usually answer the call by doing a single finger double tap, as if executing the "answer button" or whatever it is called. But when the phone is ringing and I do not hear either "slide to answer" or "receive call button call", if I use the standard single finger double tap, nothing happens and I then use the two finger double tap . Here, it is dicey. A lot of the time I miss the call. I have tried just answering the call with a two finger double tap and it seems to work much of the time, but not always. Again, if I get the call and hear slide to answer, almost always the single finger double tap works. Sorry to ask such a basic question, so humor me and do not suggest I get rid of the IPhone and go back to an earlier type "not smart" phone.
