I've had problems with the two finger double tap in the past, but it
reliably answers calls for me now.

finger double tap, nothing happens and I then use the two finger
double tap . Here, it is dicey. A lot of the time I miss the call.
I have tried just answering the call with a two finger double tap and
it seems to work much of the time, but not always. Again, if I get
the call and hear slide to answer, almost always the single finger
double tap works.
Sorry to ask such a basic question, so humor me and do not suggest I
get rid of the IPhone and go back to an earlier type “not smart” phone.
