Not completely wireless is an interesting statement, either a hedset is wired or wireless, but I think I know what they guy meant if they are the Beats my wife has. They are bluetooth/wireless, but there is a cable connecting left and right which makes it harder to loose them and you could easily hang them around your neck and just use one side.

When I went to the BestBuy store in my area the salesman sold the beats to me He said that they sounded identical to the Apple AirPods except they were not completely wireless. I disagreed.
