I use Google Hangouts and have had no issues with VoiceOver with it. I can call a contact, enter a number on the keypad, and receive calls with it. Google Hangouts integrates seamlessly with the iPhone’s phone app so calls can be placed through Google Hangouts using the phone app. Just install it and give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised. I don’t use Google Hangouts much anymore. I have unlimited calling on my iPhone and prefer to call using the regular phone app. Google Hangouts is good for making high quality VOIP calls, but the people I call prefer Facetime, Skype, or Facebook Messenger. It could be an excellent tool for cheaply calling into the United States though.
