I ordered my wife the upgrade using my son's eligibility. This was done via the Apple app. I assumed I could simply switch the phone numbers when the phone arrived.
No! The IPhone 5 now has a removable SIM card. This is tied to the number with eligibility. Simple enough; I was told by Verizon to go to the store where they would give me a new SIM card with the appropriate number. No! The store says they have not gotten the new SIM cards and have no idea when to expect them -- not days, weeks or when. I don't know if I had ordered through Verizon using his upgrade they would have sent it with a SIM and her number. It is something to remember until those new cards are in circulation. In all the stuff I read about the IPhone, this is the first I heard Verizon would now have cards the end user could change.
