Well, leave it to Verizon. As I originally reported, V told me I needed a new SIM card because I ordered an upgrade for one number, but wanted the phone on a different number.
I called back today to inquire when they might get the new SIMs and was told that was not the case. This rep said they were slammed on the phone lines yesterday, so they could not make changes. He did not say, "So, the rep just made up something to get rid of me." Whatever, since I was calling for information today, I did not have the phone with me so he could make the necessary change, but when I got home I was able to do it on line just as you always have switched one device for another. Tip: If anyone tries this, on line it says you need a number off the SIM card. If you go into the new phone Settings, General, About, there is an ICC ID number of 19 digits, which will save you removing the SIM. Also, it did take 15 minutes or more for the change to occur. You do not need to do the *228 reset. HTH! E -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
