With iOS 9, when I received a text message, my iPhone SE always read
it, no matter where it was.
With iOS 10, the SE read messages when it was on a flat surface,
uncovered; however, if it was in my pocket or purse, the screen
covered, messages were not read.
iOS 11.0 worked like iOS 10, with messages not being read when the
phone was covered.
iOS 11.1, however, no matter where the phone was located, read the
first instance of the message, and not the repeat. This was awesome!
IOS 11.2 only reads messages when the phone is uncovered. No more
purse notifications. Detect text is turned on. I have not changed
any settings between iOS 11.1 and iOS 11.2. Any idea how I can get
the SE to read messages when they come in, no matter where it is?
