For the blind, the big differences are that the x has face ID and no home button on the screen. Both have the same processor so performance will be the same in each phone. The reason technology journalists say that the 8 is a disappointment is because the 8 was an incremental upgrade with no new technology. The x has a new camera system and a bigger screen with greater image quality. Face recognition is way more accurate than in Samsung phones. I don’t believe the X is worth the price for blind users though.
