It sounds like the cable you use to connect the iPhone to the computer may be bad. Another possibility is the lightning port on the iPhone SE is damaged or may contain lent.
I would first ask a friend to bring their USB cable over for you to try connecting your iPhone SE using the friend's cable. Do you use the same cable to connect the iPhone and iPod to the computer?
