Interesting, you must be the only person where double tapping on Collaps Video also pauses playback.

When one double taps on the collapse button with VoiceOver, the video is paused and the user is returned back to the home screen. I do apologize. I will inform other colleagues to do the same and hopefully their issue will be resolved as well.
