I have heard a long time about a refresh of the SE but nothing definitive. So
if you take that off the table and are resigned to the fact that you might have
to carry a phone with a larger form factor I would want to know what kind of
carrots Verizon dangling before I would advise. Personally I would wait until
Black Friday as those are the best deals I have ever seen on the latest models
of iPhones. Last year Sams Club for example had $300 off of a iPhone 8 and $350
off of a iPhone X. I have never really seen anything better throughout the
year.n The other thing to consider is that you are 7 months into the iPhone 8
year and only have a few months til the next incarnation of the iPhone is
available. If I am investing in a new phone I would probably always err on the
side of getting a new one right after the new generation comes out if possible.
Sometimes that is not realistic if a phone is lost or damaged. But in an ideal
world that is what I would do.

Subject: Upgrade phone now or wait?

Okay, so here’s my quandry. I’m itching like a dog with a bad case of fleas to
upgrade my SE to something else. Verizon is dangling some pretty sweet carrots
my way to go with the 8. The thing is, I really like the form factor of the SE
and how it fits in my hand and pocket, so I’d really like to stick with the
smaller device if possible. So, should I go for the 8 now or hang in there for
a possible refresh of the SE. I have one more payment on this current unit.
What do you all think? Thanks in advance for any insights and have a great day.

Lynn
