Hi Jim, as near as I can determine, iMovie, which is free, is going to be the
best way to attempt to do this.
Now, I have good success trimming the beginning or the end of a video, but the
trick is, when you want to perhaps delete something out of the middle.
Fortunately, if you have a Bluetooth keyboard, this process is a lot easier.
With the keyboard, you need to pause the video, then press command B to split
the tracks.
Now, somehow, through this process of splitting and then joining tracks, you
can get an edited video suitable for posting to Youtube.
Please keep in mind that I am just starting out with this entire concept of
video editing, but I am pretty certain that with some practice, and knowing the
Bluetooth keyboard commands, of which there are quite a few, I really feel
that this can be accomplished successfully.
Thanks.

Subject: Working with videos on an iPhone 7?

Good morning,
I tried sending a message to the list yesterday but don’t know if it got there,
so I thought I’d ask again.

Two days ago, I had someone video record something on my iPhone 7. Now, I’d
like to see if I can go into the video, take a clip or two from it, and be able
to post it on Youtube or Facebook.
The entire video is too long, but if I can find a way of taking some parts,
that would be great.
What app might be useful for this job? Does anyone have experience in doing
something like this, and if so, might you be willing to give me some advice or
assistance?
Thanks very much.
Jim Portillo
