I have an ID Mate, and I have used the Seeing AI app for bar code identification. While the Seeing AI app works quite well, I do love my ID Mate and use it more often than the app. For one thing, one can record extra information, including instructions which might not be available from the app's web-based database, and I do use the recording feature of the ID Mate whenever I have a product that is not available from the commercial datrabase.
