The American Printing House for the Blind has refreshed their talking color identifier with some modern features. According to the description, the Color Star "recognizes more than 1,000 different color shades, identifies color contrast measurements, recognizes the color of LED lights, perceives the light intensity in the surrounding environment, and recognizes patterns – all with clear spoken voice output." The new unit also charges via USB and includes stereo headphones. It's available now for $449 from their online store.<http://shop.aph.org/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_Color%20Star_39015223P_10001_11051> APH's previous color identifier, the ColorTest II was discontinued in January 2018.
