I believe Google has changed some of the email commands that used to work for GoogleGroups subscription management. When I Googled this, I believe I saw that only subscribe and unsubscribe and maybe something called manage are the available email commands now. I don't know why they changed this but apparently they did. I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket but I believe Groups.io is the place to have an email list these days.
