The interface is supposedly the same. The big difference is that the online version does not offer turn-by-turn directions. The big benefit with NE is the device based maps. It is great for users in Places with poor or no cell phone service. Otherwise, Blind Square with Apple Maps will deliver a similar experience. I have both and like both apps for different reasons.
