I am not familiar with the braille edge 40, but I am with the u2. What I am
going to suggest you try is based on my experience with the u2, believing the
command structure to be similar across the hims product line.

Based on what you said, I assume that you know how to get to the terminal mode.
Make sure phone is on and not in sleep mode. Use panning keys to see what is
on screen. When u find a field where you want to enter data, press the touch
cursor on the field name. You will be taken to the point where you can begin
to enter information. You can only use computer braille when writing here. If
you make any mistakes while using computer braille, what gets translated to the
phone might not be what you meant. An excellent work around for this issue is
the terminal clipboard. Access it with chord space enter i. The main benefit
of terminal clipboard is that you can use editing and writing commands that you
already use. While you are in the terminal clipboard, note that nothing that
you type will go to your I phone. When you are ready to fill in the field on
your iphone, press chord enter s. This will send the info from clipboard to
your phone and put you back in terminal mode rather than the terminal
clipboard. When you are finished interacting with your phone in braille, exit
terminal mode with chord space backspace z.

Let me know how this works for you, and feel free to ask any other questions.

Subject: Using Braille on the iPhone;

One of my client's has received a Braille edge 40 to try out. We have
successfully pared the braille edge to the phone, now we need some pointers to
use the display. perhaps someone could send some instructions on how to setup
the device so my client can type in passwords, and write notes etc. in advance,
thanks for the help.
