I was able to get pretty nice Nokia phones for much less then $400. I
think my Nokia N-75 cost me $100. I only paid $300 for Talks the first
time I purchased it, and I only paid $100 to have it activated on
subsequent phones. Therefore, it only cost me $200 to get my 3rd Nokia
phone with a screen reader, and I did this five years before Apple had
an accessible smart phone.
Note I'm just correcting some information here. I appreciate what Apple
has done and my iPhones, and I don't begrudge what I pay to get my
accessible smart phones these days. That's not to say others wouldn't
appreciate more affordable options, but then you can still get older
iPhones that have a few more years left in them and of course Android
phones which have various price points. This is all with accessibility
built in off of the shelf, which is a good thing.

for us as consumers. I think the XR is going to be the better selling phone
this year. I don’t think paying an extra 350 bucks for a better camera, video
recorded in stereo, and a stainless steel back is worth it. Again, this is my
opinion, not fact. Your thoughts?
