Thank you, Scott.  A website that allows one to create a passbook coupon is
certainly a step in the right direction.

There actually is a website that will allow you to create your own coupons.
Check out http://www.passsource.com. This site may be something smaller
vendors could use. I created a pass for grins and it was pretty accessible
and easy to send to myself.
I am sure with time APple will find a way to work around having to download
all these apps for various businesses just to allow users access via
PassBook. I agree that having to download these apps would not make the
experience very pleasant.
