Thanks Richard. That is what I also remember from listening to the
apple event. I could only remember three differences between the XS
and the XR. XS has 3D touch and the XR does not. XS has dual camera
and the XR has a single camera. The XS has an olade display and the XR
has a traditional liquid LCD display. I thought both models have
stereo recording, although not important for me. They both have dual
sim, one electronic and one physical. The model available in China
will have two physical sims.

The specs of the XR do state that stereo recording is available, as
well as the better stereo sound. I myself can't wait to hear the
fruits of all that, in stereo videos and recordings all over the
Internet. I'd have to look around for the DualSim stuff though.,

something to consider. Also if you travel a lot, the dual SiM
capabilities of the S phones might be helpful. I'm pretty sure

I’m not sure I qualify as tech savvy. But I see absolutely
no reason to spend more money for the XS or even X max.
Even with the advantage of the OLED display, which should
give better battery life, according to apples on specs,
the EXR wins in that category. So I just can’t see any
reason, if you want a new phone this year and don’t
absolutely want the home button, why should you spend
anymore than you have to? I think the XR with 128 gigs is
the sweet spot.
