Like Merv, I keep a lot of content locally, whilst I do have Apple Music
and Netflix, I like to download to the device.
Then there's the example given of know Internet access or loss of power
due to unforeseen circumstance.
From time to time, I also travel to visit my extended family in Africa
and the US, Dubai, and London.
Having access to my Audible library and huge music collection and
Netflix movies and tv shows will certainly help with a 14 hour flight.
So, whilst it's not for everyone, in my use case I am glad I went for
the largest storage option.
Just for some context, my current 8 is a 256gb iPhone, and I only have
10gb or so remaining.
