So, simple solution, if you want to simply wake up the phone so it speaks the time use the power button which incidently is often referred to as the "wake/sleep button anyways. If I want to unlock my phone with Touch Id I use the home button, push it and rest my finger for a moment and the phone unlocks. If you have an iPhone X or any of this year's 3 new phones you have to press the side button as it is now called anyways.any of the
