As I said before it took me about 2 weeks to get the gesture to work reliably. It is called persistence. I hated my phone when I was going through it, but now it works most times. One thing to remember is that you must go completely to the bottom of the screen and run your finger along the bottom until you get the feedback. After you get that feedback you swipe up with your finger extremely lightly to find the second and third haptics. Hope this helps. Oh, one thing that helped with swiping for me was to swipe, once I found the first haptic, at the bottom with my finger parallel with the bottom of the screen. No idea why this helped me, but it did and at times I still use that if the normal swipe up isn’t working.
Reggie and Lex God said, "I need somebody strong enough to pull sleds and find bombs, yet gentle enough to love babies and lead the blind. Somebody who will spend all day on a couch with a resting head and supportive eyes to lift the spirits of a broken heart." So God made a dog. I thought I would find it easy to use, since many of you spoke about the replacement gestures to the home key. I assumed that a slow slide up until I hear the first tone would take me to the home screen, and if I continued the slide up until I hear the second tone it would take me to the app switcher. Unfortunately, when I did my slow slide up I did not hear any tones to know when to lift my finger to go to the home screen, or how to go to the app switcher. Either the store was too noisy and I missed hearing the tones, or the tones were turned off. One of the store employees told me that I should feel a vibration when I slide up to the point of lifting my finger, but I felt no vibration either. What is going on? Where did I go wrong? I admit that it was a very discouraging experience for me. What do you suggest? Cheers, Cris -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
