Hi Richard, No need to double tap on the phone number twice, once you are in the conversation 3 double taps are involved to get to the screen where the “Create New Contact” button is:
1. Double tap on the phone number 2. On the next screen double tap on Info 3. On the next screen double tap the phone number which now is announced as a button. Now after step 3 if you do a 4-finger tap near the bottom of the screen you are taken to Block Caller which is the last item, flick left twice and you are on Create new contact. All in all it is a 5-step process, open the message, double tap the number, double tap Info, double tap the number and then find the create new contact button either by swiping or using the method I described above. Prior to iOS 12 this was one step less, after opening the message you had a details button at the top right and double tapping on it was essentially the same as tapping the info button now. Time to report a bug to Apple. Adding a contact from a text message iOS 12 Open the text message. Then double tap on the phone number. Then, double tap on the phone number again. Then flick right to the info button and double tap. You have to then double tap again on the number before you find the create contact option where it usually shows up. Firstly, how do you go about adding a phone number from a text message to a new contact? I for my life cannot figure it out. Secondly, has anyone else noticed that now when creating a new text message and wanting to add an emoji that voiceover will no longer read what it is? Mine just announces “Meme images” as I swipe through them. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
