Hi all,

I just purchased the Belkin Boost Up Special Edition Wireless Charging Pad from
my local Apple Store to wirelessly charge my iPhone XS Max.

I’m taken aback by how precisely the phone has to be positioned on the wireless
charging pad, to the point where a half an inch or less difference in
positioning makes all the difference. I basically have to align the phone very
precisely in order for it to charge. Then, over the course of a few minutes,
possibly due to the normal vibrations within the room, the phone moves about a
half an inch away from the original position and stops charging.

In reading the reviews from the Apple Canada Store, it seems others are having
this issue with these products. In my imagination, the point of wireless
charging is to just plunk your phone on a surface and not have to worry about
fiddling around with anything—it’ll just charge. But this hasn’t been my
experience with this particular charger.

What do others think? Are there wireless charging pads that work better?

Thanks,

Grant
