The only other observation that I have, and I truly do not know the answer, is that I also have an iPad connected with the same Apple ID, and dictation is almost always perfect. Plus, on other iPhone8's that I have tried, the dictation is almost always flawless. There is just some variable, either on the local device, or somewhere in the cloud, that is affecting these outcomes.
