I switched from AT&T slightly over a month ago. Please note that while you can bring some existing phones, iPhone7s from AT&T are not likely to qualify. This is the case even if they are unlocked because you may only have a phone unlocked for use with GSM networks, and not CDMA. Xfinity uses Verizon networks which is CDMA. With that said, connections for phone calls are much better for me with Xfinity. It depends on if your area has better AT&T or Verizon service. For me, the change has better calls, and lower cost. However, I do notice that downloading apps appear much slower even on wifi. Also, I do miss the free AT&T call protect app compared to just using Hiya to deal with spam and other unwanted calls, but I will work with that. My wife and I switched last December to Xfinity Mobile. At that time, you could not bring your own phone to them, but had to buy a phone through them. We were ready to update, so that was not a problem. Now I believe, depending on the age of your phone, you can use your existing phone. If you do have to buy one, they do not charge interest if you choose to pay over time. We went with the by the gig plan since we do not use a lot of data.
