I have been having some strange behavior with my iPhone 8 running IOS 12. I am not sure exactly when this started, but for the last two nights I have noticed this behavior. When I have unlocked my phone early in the morning voiceover does not speak, music does not play, etc. through the phone's speaker. When I plug in headphones, I hear everything fine. I have turned up the volume and that does nothing. Yesterday, I restarted the phone, and I could then hear everything through the speaker. This morning, I just let the phone sit without restarting it until about 8:00, then unlocked the screen, and could then hear everything through the phone's speaker. I had changed nothing in the meantime.
At the times when I cannot get sound from the speaker, I do still hear the text notifications and incoming phone calls. I have looked through settings, but am at a loss to figure out what might be causing this. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.
