Second, I have experienced temporary loss of VoiceOver feedback from time-to-time, seemingly at random. In each instance, I simply press the Home button and, upon seeing the LaunchPad, VoiceOver speech returns. I think that in almost every instance, the VoiceOver sound drop-out occurs when using third-party apps. I have not yet sent in a bug report because, as yet at least, I cannot discern any particular pattern. I feel comfortable in asserting that your issue is a software glitch; as such, report your findings to Apple and, hopefully, a fix will be forthcoming in a future release. I am not sure exactly when this started, but for the last two nights I have noticed this behavior. When I have unlocked my phone early in the morning voiceover does not speak, music does not play, etc. through the phone's speaker. When I plug in headphones, I hear everything fine. I have turned up the volume and that does nothing. Yesterday, I restarted the phone, and I could then hear everything through the speaker. This morning, I just let the phone sit without restarting it until about 8:00, then unlocked the screen, and could then hear everything through the phone's speaker. I had changed nothing in the meantime. At the times when I cannot get sound from the speaker, I do still hear the text notifications and incoming phone calls. I have looked through settings, but am at a loss to figure out what might be causing this. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.
