Well that is one explanation. I have had delayed texts when I lived in Chicago & where I live now, both places with plenty of cell towers around. Plus 99% of the text messages come through fine with only a delayed one every once in a while. As long as the frequency is that low; I'll just live with it. I have Verizon as my carrier. Once in a while a voice mail comes in a day or so later too. Puzzling...

I had the problem of delayed text messages a few years ago with AT&T. I found that AT&T had closed a small store that was near my house. When they closed the store, they obviously removed the AT&T cell phone tower near the store that provided customers with excellent reception while shopping in the store. When my contract with AT&T was up in a couple of months, I switched to Verizon and have not experienced any text message delays or dropped phone calls. I use Verizon on my IPhone 5s &every once in a while a text will show up saying 3 hours ago or 10 minutes ago. It probably happens once or twice a month so isn't a huge problem but is puzzling. This sometimes happens with voice mails too. I figured it was a Verizon glitch of some sort I have found no patern to when it happens. . If it happened consistently with the same person or at the same time of day, it might be easier to figure out but no such luck. I’ve seen this happen sometimes too, especially with Android phones. Maybe their model of phone is slower at receiving texts, or TMobile may have spent some time sending the message. > On Sep 24, 2018, at 7:17 PM, Terri Stimmel <icecreamlove...@outlook.com> > wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > > I was wondering, what are some reasons texts can be delayed being > received?
