You can set to stream on Downcast as well. It shows time duration, etc. For the longest, Overcast only went to 2X speed, which for me, was too slow. I'm a 3X playback person and Downcast for a while was the only app that offered a higher playback speed like this. I don't listen to all my podcasts at 3x, but it is for the majority of my podcasts and being able to crank through a daily podcast is appreciated. I bugged the Overcast guy over the years about a faster playback speed and I guess he got tired of people like me and others asking him about it and finally added it. That said and maybe it's just familiarity, but I still prefer Downcast. Overcast is a simpler layout, but Downcast allows for a lot more customization. Be it globally or for individual feeds. My global setting is for streaming but for the feeds where they're a series on History or a particular event where I may want to listen off-line or whatever. ICatcher was my first third party podcast app and it was fine, but I moved on after I discovered Downcast and since the iCatcher dev said he wasn't going to increase playback speed, it was bye Felicia for me. The native Apple podcast app really isn't all that
