in this case, i was refering to the screen brightness. and if the screen brightness, is set to auto, and the screen curtain is on, the screen brightness should set it’s self to zero, which will save battery.
But always check it, in the control center, if you turn your phone off, and on again. Dave. Indeed, its auto brightness that needs to be disabled. I remember after iOS 11 I think it was that this for whatever reason got turned on for me.
