Hmm, I thought the free battery promotion was only for the iPhone 6 and
up? The SE came out after that if I remember correctly.

You said 18 month old iPhone SE. That battery is probably a bit
degraded which would cause something like this to happen. but you can
go to settings and battery to see if you're phone is doing anything
during those six hours it's just sitting there. I recently learned
that mine was and zello was the cause. Zello was causing my phone to
be in use for around 20 minutes per hour when I was asleep one night.
And the app was closed. You might want to take advantage of the $29
battery replacement program that Apple is offering until the end of
this year.

Hi, all. I'm using an eighteen month old iPhone SE. I've had iOS 12
for over a month and I'm still plagued by battery issues.
I can unplug my phone once it's charged to 100% and leave it alone
for six or seven hours and my battery will be at around 92% with no
apps running, the phone being locked and set to Do Not Disturb.
I always have four Verizon bars and three wifi bars, so the phone
isn't even having difficulty finding a signal on either network. This
battery drain happens while the phone is unplugged and sitting on my
nightstand in the same room as the wifi router and a window, so there
again, it's not having issues staying connected.
Here's what I've tried so far to resolve the issue: Screen time is
off, Location services are off, Auto brightness is off, raise to wake
is off, background app refresh is off, Email and other push
notifications have been disabled, network settings have been reset at
least twice. I've also rebooted the phone with the power/home button
combo. Last week I tried charging it to 100, shutting the phone down
completely, and keeping it plugged into the charger for about eight
hours.
I didn't have these issues before upgrading from iOS 10 to 12. Before
the upgrade I noticed the biggest battery drain using YouTube or
other apps where the phone had to be unlocked while in use, but that
was expected.
My only thought now is to do the reset where I need to restore the
phone as a new device.
Is there anything else I can do to resolve the issue? Also, if I do
the restore, can I do this using iTunes, my PC and no working eyeballs?
Other than the battery issues, I'm not having any difficulty with my
phone. And, as I said, I wasn't having these issues before the upgrade.
TIA for thoughts.
