You know that you have to scan the screen of the old phone with the camera of the new phone, right? At least that is what is described in the article I read.

I was offered a screen that had the instructions on how to do the quick start up or an offer to do it manually if you wanted. Everything you could double tap on it except the manual one did nothing. So I did the manual thing and use an iCloud back up. That work. My old phone has iOS 12.01. My guess is that the new one doesn’t. And of course there won’t be any way to update that until I am all signed in. I guess that means I have to do it manually?
