Hi Tom, There are a couple of ways to find out the charge of your watch's battery. It's always listed in Control Center. Flick up with two fingers on the main screen to open Control Center. If you turn on Battery on your phone's Today screen, the watch's charge is shown there.
It sounds like you inadvertently turned on AutoSpeak for the Activity icon on your watch's screen. To turn it off, touch the Activity icon (the one that reports the fitness info). flick up or down until VoiceOver says, "Disable AutoSpeak," and double-tap. You can turn AutoSpeak on or off for any icon on your watch in the same way. Mirroring messages determines whether and how you get messages on your watch. If you choose to mirror the iPhone setting, messages come to the watch when the iPhone screen is locked using the same settings that the phone does. If you turn off mirroring, you can set the watch not to receive texts, for example. To get messages deleted from one device to be deleted on all, you need to make sure iCloud is turned on for Messages on all your devices. To do this, open Settings, and choose the first option, which is labeled with your name. Choose iCloud, and make sure Messages is on. Do this on all your devices. I hope that helps.
