Then let's see how long it would take a blind person using Excel or Numbers on
an iOS device to accomplish a variety of tasks which let's say would take me 1
hour in Excel on a PC.
I am thinking of setting up a workbook say with a separate sheet for each day
of the month where one would enter say sales amounts including taxes, how much
each day was sold using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Debit Card, Cash,
Gift Certificates etc. At the top of each sheet should be the date and it
should be set up so that if the date on the first day of the month is input,
e.g. December 1, it is displayed as Saturday, December 1, 2018 and then all
other 30 sheets in the workbook should have a formula referring to that date
field on the first sheet to display the correct date. Then sheet 1 should
actually be a summary sheet where all the values for each field are added up so
one would see monthly totals for sales volume, returns, net sales, taxes, the
various tenders etc.
I would be extremely surprised if the blind person using Excel or Numbers on an
iOS device can accomplish this in the same time as the blind person using Excel
on a PC with Jaws or whatever their choice of screenreaderis.

Well, I don’t use excel, but I do use numbers. And it’s accessible with the
iPad. I have friends that use excel though, and they swear there never going
back to windows or a desk top.

Well, that's certainly interesting and a definite step in the direction of the
iPad being a fully functioning laptop substitute. But speaking as a blind user,
I can't see it happening for me unntil the keyboard support in iOS is as robust
as what I can have with my windows laptop.
